Strawberry tiramisu with mascarpone and fresh strawberries

Strawberry Tiramisu

crumbs & honey

Our strawberry tiramisu started as a Sunday-afternoon experiment and quickly became the dessert everyone writes home about. Each glass is built by hand: a soak of fresh espresso, ladyfingers that drink it up just slowly enough, and a mascarpone cream we whip until it's almost cloud.

The strawberries are the heart. We slice them the morning of, layer them in ribbons between the cream, and crown the top with the prettiest of the batch. The result is equal parts pillowy, bright, and just a little bit grown-up — espresso-kissed and deeply, deliciously French-country.

How we make it

  • · Mascarpone whipped to soft peaks with vanilla and a touch of honey.
  • · Ladyfingers dipped — not drowned — in fresh-pulled espresso.
  • · Local strawberries, sliced the morning we assemble.
  • · Built in glass so every layer shows, then chilled overnight to set.
